Itinerary

Welcome to our EF 2015 Blog! I have posted our Itinerary so you can see where we are and what we're doing each day. I will post daily blogs with pictures and updates when possible. 16 days until departure!

Day 1: (June 7th)
Fly overnight to Germany

Day 2: Berlin (June 8th)
Meet your Tour Director at the airport
Take a walking tour of Berlin
With your tour director you will see:
  • Unter den Linden 
  • Reichstag 

Day 3: Berlin (June 9th)
Take a guided tour of Berlin
With your expert local guide you will see:
  • Brandenburg Gate 
  • Kurfürstendamm 
  • Remains of the Berlin Wall 
Visit the Checkpoint Charlie Museum
Time to explore on your own or

Optional: Potsdam Take a half-day excursion to Potsdam, where the postwar administration of Germany was decided at the 1945 Potsdam Conference. Potsdam was also the royal playground of Frederick the Great of Prussia; see baroque palaces, pavilions and the royal residence’s gardens. Take a guided visit inside either Sanssouci or Cecilienhof (from June 2-Sept. 30, visit Sanssouci and enjoy a cruise on Lake Winn).

Day 4: Dresden • Prague  (June 10th)
Travel to Dresden
Take a tour of Dresden
Travel to Prague

Day 5: Prague (June 11th)
Take a guided tour of Prague
With your expert local guide you will see:
  • Charles Bridge 
Visit St. Vitus Cathedral
Visit the Golden Lane
Take a walking tour of Prague

Day 6: Olomouc • Krakow (June 12th)
Travel to Olomouc
Continue on to Krakow
Visit Auschwitz and Birkenau

Day 7: Krakow (June 13th)
Take a guided tour of Krakow
With your expert local guide you will see:
  • Wawel Hill 
  • Glowny Square 
Visit Wawel Cathedral
Enjoy free time in Krakow

(June 14th)
Travel via Slovakia and the Tatra Mountains to Budapest
Take a walking tour of Budapest
With your tour director you will see:
  • Fisherman’s Bastion Parliament 

Day 9: Budapest (June 15th)
Take a guided tour of Budapest
Visit Matthias Church
Time to explore on your own or

Optional: Hungarian Horse Farm Enjoy the atmosphere of a Hungarian village—combined with a world-class horse stable—when you venture half an hour outside of Budapest o Lazar Equestrian Park in Domonyvölgy. Savor a traditional Hungarian lunch accompanied by local folklore music, take a carriage ride through the picturesque Gödöllő hill forest, and enjoy a horse show featuring nomad warrior archery and a horsemen skills competition.

Day 10: Depart for home (June 16th)
