Day 2

We are officially done with Day 2 of our tour. Let me recap Day 1 for you. After being dropped off at the airport, finding out that we had to check all of our bags, and an 11 hour flight with little sleep, we were ready to get going to Berlin. Unfortunately there were technical difficulties and we were delayed for a few hours...the 225 euro per person offer to get bumped from the flight was a little tempting, but we were able to withhold. After a lot of waiting and a bus ride over to the next terminal, we were on the final leg of the journey. Thankfully we and all of our luggage made it to Berlin safely. After a quick trip to the hotel, we were off again exploring the city! We took public transportation in (the U-Bahn or Underground) and explored Alexanderplatz on our own. After meeting up with the group again, it was dinner time. At this point, we've been up for 24+ hours and eaten 6 different meals. On tonight's menu was salad, bread and a cheese spread, pork spare ribs (delicious in my opinion) and a potato with far too much "sour cream." I put that in quotes because I'm not really sure what it was, but it seems logical that a white, yogurt like consistency topping on a baked potato would be sour cream, even if it doesn't quite taste like sour cream. After dinner we started the journey back to the hotel. I tram ride, 1 underground ride and 15 minutes of walking later we were back (and ready for sleep!!!) Some of the kids were asleep before I even had a chance to check on them!

Tomorrow is another day in Berlin and our trip to Potsdam. Check out some of the pictures from today. Talk to you soon :)
